Her eyes gleamed as she watched the crimson heart-shaped sky lantern soar high.
There were thousands of them dotting the night sky like an iridescent galaxy of flickering fairy lights.
Looking at her wonder-filled eyes, he knew this was the moment he had been waiting for; so, he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Thanks. I guess decisions taken with an open heart are always right. I do believe that heart has an intuitive power which can overrule mind’s logical way of thinking sometimes.

I like to think that the heart (love, passion) and mind (logic, thought) work together as a team coming up with compromise and the best possible answer… 🙂

Absolutely, Larry. However, in my experience I’ve seen that people are scared of following their hearts. More often than not, they would listen to their minds because mind tells them that a particular option is safe and will prevent them from a possible loss. Even in matters of heart, they would listen to their minds because love demands a certain level of emotional investment and people are very stingy when it comes to forming emotional bonds. I hope I am making sense here 😛

You do make sense…. I believe that in many cases, social pressure has a great deal to do with it… be it love, relationships, religious beliefs , etc… people afraid of showing their true feelings for fear of what society may think… 🙂

Yes, that’s true. We often shy away from showing what we truly feel. The fear of being judged prevents us from expressing our thoughts, ideologies or feelings freely.
If you don’t mind, may I ask were you an educator before? You seem to have profound knowledge in almost all streams of learning. You know so much about art, music, literature or science. I feel really good sharing my thoughts with you; and, it seems I can learn a great deal from you.
